Where did you grow up?

Dallas, TX

Describe what you do at Antica Farmacista:

I’m the graphic designer at Antica — my hands are on anything visual from the packaging, catalogs, emails, website, etc. You can often find me with Shelley, tearing photos out of magazines for inspiration, pitching creative concepts, and giggling the whole time!

Where do you point people who are just discovering the collection for the first time?

I start out by asking about their favorite perfumes – that always helps me to point them in the right direction. My mom, for example, loves Bobbi Brown Beach, so I steered her toward Lush Palm and Hana Lei. My boyfriend wears a cologne that leans very green and woody, so I got him hooked on Tarmac.

What are your personal favorites?

I like warm, sensual scents that draw you closer. My house is always filled with a combination of Manhattan, Cask and Sandalwood Amber. And for the body, After Hours is my signature scent — the blackberry-amber-tobacco combination is deliciously sultry on heated skin.

What are some passions you pursue outside of work?

I’m passionate about art and photography, so I like to spend my free time painting or taking “photography walks” to get inspired. I am also extremely close to my family, so my ideal weekend is sitting on a sunny patio with them, cocktail in hand, listening to music, and watching my two nephews play with my dog, Frankie.

What's the best advice you've ever received?

Never sacrifice who you could be for what you are.

Is there anyone in your life you truly admire?

My parents. Every day, they show me the true meaning of love – whether it’s their unyielding love for their children, their love for their own passions and hobbies, or the deep, unwavering love they have for each other (married for 35+ years)!

Do you have any early memories that involve scent?

The scents of Texan youth — petrichor after a spring storm, the sting of chlorine, and the sweetness of Coppertone. The zest of fresh-cut lemons plopped into a tall glass of sweet tea and the earthiness of the tomato vines in my grandmother’s garden.

What might we be surprised to know about you?

I travel constantly, but I am actually terrified of flying!

Describe your dream getaway.

My dream getaway: renting a gigantic house in Mexico, on the beach. I’d spend the day playing with my dog, surrounded by my dearest friends and family with tons of music and dancing… I can smell the saltwater, the rosé, the sunscreen and the smoke from the grill. I’d wind down at night with one of my boyfriend’s Smoked Cherry Old Fashioneds and fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves.
